I am probably not going to be popular with this post, but then so be it.

I was the attacker in an Ore Raid mission today against 2 lvl 1 players, I am lvl 10.

As it currently stands this mission is totally unplayable when these levels come together, not only was I slowed down to a ridiculous speed that quite frankly I know I could not have made to back to my HQ in but I was also pummeled to death in about 10 shot from a lvl 1 player.

Now, I know that there has to be some disadvantage given to me, but I do not appreciate all my hard work attaining a lvl 10 weapon, armour and engine being wittled away to nothing. It makes a mockery of the whole lvl system.

I would rather be allocated another marauder mission than waste time trying to complete a mission that cannot be done. The current "balancing" clearly doesn't work (which is to be expected, i'm not having a pop at that) but it highlights an issue with the differences between these levels.

Why am I getting so wound up about it, well it's not about the winning I'm really not bothered by that, it's the game play. I am driving past a hill which is quite a long one and as expected the defender has a range advantage.

1. I cannot shoot them
2. I cannot change direction quickly enough to get close enough to the hill to shoot at them.
3. I die
4. Arrive back at hill and kill them
5. Pick up the ore
6. Start moving very slowly and move about 1 tank length in the time it takes them to arrive back at the hill.

7. Repeat steps 1 through 7 :LOL:

In this scenario I will never make it past the hill, let alone on to the next hill ^^

So, Yes I know this is still a beta and I'm glad to be a part of it but this matching/disadvantaging is going in the wrong direction. These levels should either:

1. never be matched against each other in the first place
2. upper limit for players in this first world should be 8.

I mainly think that the one that pick up the stuff has no chance, a teammember and I rank 1 and 2 were fighting GMBaku, we had no chance of winning since he was way too strong, so I think its that he one that picks the stuff up has just no chance of winning.

maybe there should be something that you could drop the cargo for a sec and kill the attackers and pick up the ore again, i don't know, but I think you can't even make it to the place as you die too fast.

this doesnt have anything to do with the ore raid mission at all frankly.........

another mission with the same problem is the bunker attack.........
me level 4
versus 2 level 1's i got killed in four shots because of the hills and the fact that most bunkers i have seen are sandwiched between 2 hill doesn't allow the attacker to get close to the bunker to even do damage to it and when they do it doesnt matter because you cant kill it in ten minutes...........


every mission like this should make it so you cannot do it without a ally otherwise its impossible to do unless you are really high level

Thanks for the posts guys but please remember that this is still the beta version of the game so mission balancing is still being tuned.

The object of this post was to talk about my experience and see if others were experiencing the same. If the response was positive then I can submit a support ticket with the info.

Thanks for your feedback, I will forward it to the Devs and of course we are aware that there are still some issues with the balancing.
